Beauty and the Beast (Read-Aloud Board Book) (Board book) - As a mother of a 3 1/2 year old little girl, I’m happy to have the excuse to visit many of my favorite Disney stories under the guise of sharing them with my daughter! I particulary love Beauty and the Beast because of it’s focus on internal goodness vs. external beauty. This board book tells the story in an abreviated fashion without losing the mains elements of the moral. Perfect for reading to a toddler with a very short attention span! My reason for giving it 4 vs. 5 stars was that one or two of the scenes depicted were in dark colors with a very subdued background…not very eye catching or interesting to a toddler. My little girl always seems to lose interest during these pages and I have to read them quickly to get to the next brightly colored and more “interesting” pages. Other than that we love the story and find this is a perfect version for the age market.
