Quicken Essentials for Mac Personal Finance Software – I’m a new user to quicken, I don’t have any data to import, and this is my first personal finance software for the mac. I have been looking for a long time for a software package that was simple and straightforward. Last year when I heard that they were coming out with this version, I decided to wait and see how it would turn out… And after installing it and setting up a few accounts, I have yet to run into any problems. What I don’t understand is the first two 1star reviews. It’s clear that these reviewers are prior quicken users, so I’m lost as to why they would expect a basic (Essentials) version Quicken would be an upgrade. Quicken even references prier versions (2007) in the of Quicken Essentials for Mac web page… We will be using Quicken Essentials for Mac this year, and I will report back of any problems… As for now, I would say if you need a good, quick, basic, and straightforward personal finance software package, this seems to be worth trying out… The money back guarantee should ease the concern it might not meet your needs… — by AlaskaUSA
