Plastic Beach by Gorillaz – Customer Review: Cartoon band Gorillaz’s new CD “Plastic Beach” features an armada of guests, including Snoop Dogg, Mos Def, De La Soul, Lou Reed, and Mick Jones & Paul Simonon from The Clash, to mention a few. However, they are well used and rarely overwhelm the songs they feature on. Crazy Heart: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Ltd. Deluxe Edition) (Soundtrack) – The Crazy Heart soundtrack features great country music. I love the theme song “Weary Heart” by Ryan Bingham. His guitar playing and vocals are beautiful and soothing. I didn’t know that Jeff Bridges could sing country. There is no real country singer named Bad Blake, but I can believe that Jeff Bridges is a country singing star after listening to this song. This is a fun song. Another big shock is Colin Farrell. Rated R (Explicit) by Rihanna – I’m usually not a big Rihanna fan,and quite frankly she’s been more popular with 12 y.o. then the college crowd. But she keeps making the hits and like Miley Cyrus, has proven to be quite sustainable and sometimes enjoyable. I liked SOS when it came out when i was in high school, and i thought umbrella and don’t stop the music were somewhat enjoyable tracks. I was awaiting this album, because let’s face it. Behind Britney and Beyonce,she’s probably the highest ranking pop star of the past few years. I knew that she would probably do the Madonna and Britney route and try to do a S&M,dark theme type album and boy was i right. I actually really enjoyed this cd all the way through.
